About Me
سلام
Salam!
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Rida is an artist who has a wide interest in various art forms. Having studied Visual Arts in high school, Landscape Architecture at university and backstage theatre design at postgraduate level from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, she aspires to be a jack-of-all-trades artist, illustrator, muralist, props maker, fashion designer, photographer and teacher.
Inspired by her mixed Pakistani-Chinese roots, she blends vibrant colors and brings life to her art through bold shapes and ethnic patterns. She strives to use Art in representing her own cultures and identity.
Rida’s adventurous spirit also influences her art. She has embarked on thrilling journeys, sailing across the ocean from Hong Kong to Japan, and abseiling down a 1000ft building. Continually seeking new challenges, she pushes her boundaries not only to enhance her artistic expression, but also serves as an inspiration for the ethnic minority youths in Hong Kong.
